Terms and Conditions ("Terms")

These Terms and Conditions update will take effect on March 18, 2026, including supplemental provisions on eSign services (powered by DottedSign).

  • PDF Technologies, Inc. will prominently display an update notice on the Terms page of the official website.
  • In-app notices (e.g., Announcement, Pop-up) will inform existing Users, especially those intending to purchase eSign.
  • Before using eSign features, Users must confirm "I have read and agree to the updated Terms and Conditions."

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the http://www.pdfreaderpro.com website and the PDF Reader Pro / LynxPDF Editor mobile application (the "Service") operated by PDF Technologies, Inc. ("us", "we", or "our"). the Users' access to and use of the Service is conditioned on the Users' acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service (''User(s)"). By accessing or using the Service the Users agree to be bound by these Terms. If the Users disagree with any part of the terms then the Users may not access the Service.

By installing the App or using our website, the Users hereby declare and warrant that:

  • the Users have read, understand, and have the legal capacity to, and with this agree to be legally bound by and to comply with these Terms in full;
  • the Users are 16 years of age or older (otherwise, the Users can use the App exclusively under the supervision of a parent or guardian) regardless of the age ratings assigned on the platforms where the Users download the App;
  • according to the laws of the Usersr local jurisdiction, the Users are eligible to enter into this agreement and have no restriction to use the App;
  • the Users shall continuously comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

PURCHASES

If the Users wish to purchase any product or service ("Purchase"), the Users may be asked to supply certain information relevant to the Users' Purchase.

USE LICENSE AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

By installing the App, the Users acquire a free-of-charge license to use the App with a limited set of features as may be provided within the Users' license period.

Some parts of the Service are billed on a subscription basis ("Subscription(s)"). the Users will be billed in advance on a recurring payment. User's subscription will be automatically renewed until User unsubscribes to his or her subscription.

If User subscribes to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Services, he or she shall follow the procedures set forth in the platform where User originally subscribed to the Services for viewing subscription history or cancelling automatic renewal. For instance, if User subscribed to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Service via Apple App Store, he or she shall follow Apple's procedures for subscription management or refund as set forth at https://support.apple.com/en-ap/HT202039; Or if User subscribed to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Services via Android's in-app purchase, he or she shall follow Android's procedures as set forth at https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2476088?hl=en respectively. If however, User subscribed to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Services on the Website Store, please contact us at support@pdfreaderpro.com, our customer service will provide further response.

For User subscribed to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Services on the Website Store, PDF Technologies, Inc.' refund policy is as follow:

  • Plan and Terms. We provide multiple plans, including a Yearly Subscription Plan and a Permanent Plan. All of our Subscription Plans will auto-renew when the Users reach the next billing period from the Users' activation date. Auto-Renewal means that PDF Technologies, Inc. charges the Users the service fee for the next billing period from the accounts and record such fee into the Users' payment history. Then accordingly extends the valid period equivalent to the next billing period. The Users shall ensure PDF Technologies, Inc. can successfully deduct such service fee from the Users' account, and the Users shall solely assume the responsibilities for Auto-Renewal failure due to insufficient balance in the accounts.
  • Termination of the subscription on the Users' own willing. The Users can choose to terminate the subscription at the Users' sole discretion. If the Users determine not to continue to use the service for the next billing period, please cancel the subscription at least within 24 hours before the expiry of this on-going billing period. PDF Technologies, Inc. is not obligated to remind the Users before the deadline of each billing period.
  • Refund Policy
    PDF Technologies, Inc. provides a 14-day Conditional Money-Back Guarantee. The Users may be approved for a refund if the product is proven to be defective by PDF Technologies, Inc.'s technical support team.
    The refund policy for the eSign Subscription plan or AI subscription plan is as follows:

    Within 14 days of the subscription purchase, Users may request a refund for the eSign or AI services, calculated by multiplying the unused portion of the subscribed quota by the original purchase price. For the eSign Plan, the refund is calculated as: (Unused Tasks ÷ Total Tasks) × Paid Subscription Fee. For the AI Plan, the refund is calculated as: (Unused Credits ÷ Total Credits) × Paid Subscription Fee.

    "Unused Portion" refers to the proportion of tasks or credits that have not been initiated by the User out of the total number of tasks or credits included in the subscription.

  • Purchase Channels
    Refund requests made via third-party platforms (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play) shall be governed by the respective platform's refund rules, which shall prevail. For purchases made directly through the official website, this Refund Policy shall apply.

User is not entitled to any refund if he or she requests a refund after 14 days of purchase. In the event of a refund, access to the Services shall terminate automatically and simultaneously without prejudice. User shall be solely responsible for backing up files prior to refund or cancellation.

In the event that User unsubscribes to the Services prior to the expiration of the subscription, User may still access and use the Services until the expiration date. However, in the event that User obtains any refunds, the Services shall be terminated automatically and simultaneously without prejudice.

User shall be solely responsible for the backup of files upon the refund or subscription cancellation. PDF Technologies, Inc. shall in no event be held responsible or liable for any loss or recovery of files or damages therefrom.

CONTENT

Our Service allows the Users to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("Content"). The Content section is for businesses that allow users to create, edit, share, make content on their websites or apps. For the full disclosure section, create the Users'own Terms and Conditions.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Our Service may contain links to third­ party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by PDF Technologies, Inc. PDF Technologies, Inc has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. The Users further acknowledge and agree that PDF Technologies, Inc. shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such websites or services.

COMPLIANCE OBLIGATIONS

User shall be solely and fully responsible and liable for the content created or produced by using PDF Technologies, Inc.'s Services, or for the transmission, upload, reproduction, and storage of the files on PDF Technologies, Inc.'s PDF Reader Pro. User shall warrant that no infringement of a third party's intellectual property rights or other rights has ever occurred. In no event shall PDF Technologies, Inc. be responsible or held liable for any of the foregoing deeds performed by the User or a third party in relation to the files.

If the Users are a data controller subject to UK or EU data protection law, the Users agree to comply with our data processing agreement when transferring personal data to PDF Technologies, Inc. This data processing agreement is incorporated by this reference and is available on the Data Processing Agreement at https://www.pdfreaderpro.com/downloads/trust/PDFReaderPro_Data_Processing_Agreement.pdf.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT

User represents and warrants that, by using PDF Reader Pro eSign, the contents or files created or signed on it are:

a. owned by User, or in the event where they are owned by a third party, User has obtained such party’s express permission to use, copy, and transmit the files, or to modify and make derivative works of the files;

b. not in violation of any copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights;

c. not in violation of the privacy or any right of a third party; and

d. not in violation of the law (e.g. obscene, offensive content, etc.), and not in violation of trade secrets or confidential information under an employment agreement or non-disclosure agreement, or involve any situation that may give rise to a violation of law or applicable regulations or policies.

USER'S CONDUCT

User warrants that PDF Reader Pro eSign Services "will not" be used for the following inappropriate purposes:

a.to upload, download, email, transmit, store, share, import or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, tampering, forged, harassing, threatening, harmful, infringing, defamatory, insulting, humiliating, violent, obscene, vulgar, invading the privacy of others, hateful, racially discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate;

b.to stalk, harass, threaten, harm or make injurious falsehood to others;

c.to impersonate as any person or entity, or as a private-sector leader or government official, or to misrepresent one's affiliation with any person or entity (PDF Technologies, Inc. reserves the right to reject or block what may be considered as impersonated or false identity, or any account or email address that misappropriates the name or identify of others);

d.to send, transmit, or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized email message, advertisement, promotional materials, junk mail, or chain letters, including but not limited to mass commercial advertisement, informational announcements, and phishing email;

e.to upload, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains a virus or any other computer codes, file, or program intended to harm, interfere with or limit the performance of PDF Technologies, Inc.'s products or services (or any part thereof) or the ordinary operation of any other computer software or hardware; and/or

f.to collect and store the personal information of any other User of PDF Reader Pro eSign services for any of the prohibited activities above.

g.to misuse the eSign service, including but not limited to spamming, document forgery, repeated account registration, or abuse of Bulk Send functionality.

Compliance with DottedSign Terms:
eSign service is powered by DottedSign. Accordingly, when using eSign services, Users must also comply with the Dotted Sign Terms of Service (https://www.dottedsign.com/terms_of_service/). Users must not engage in any activities that would cause PDF Reader Pro to violate its API partnership agreement with DottedSign.

SUSPENSION OF RIGHT

If User is reported of being, or PDF Technologies, Inc. discovers in a reasonable manner or is notified by a third-party service platform that User is:

(1) in breach of the representation and warranty obligations under COMPLIANCE OBLIGATIONS and INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT;
(2) has engaged in misconduct in USER'S CONDUCT;
(3) has engaged in abusive conduct as specified below; or
(4) has acted in a manner that PDF Technologies, Inc. reasonably believes to be similar to any of the situations above, PDF Technologies, Inc. may immediately suspend, in whole or in part, User's right to continue to use PDF Reader Pro eSign services, or may modify/remove the content uploaded or provided by User, and if necessary, terminate the provision of services or cancel User's subscription.

In non-emergency situations (e.g., non-urgent policy violations), PDF Technologies, Inc. will notify Users via their registered email address at least 24 hours before suspension or termination.
Exceptions: If the User's conduct has already resulted in third-party complaints requiring immediate resolution, or involves clear illegal activity (e.g., fraudulent contracts, scams), PDF Technologies, Inc. may suspend or terminate service without prior notice.

PDF Technologies, Inc. shall not be liable for any consequential damages of the User or a third party that may arise from its termination or suspension of the account and/or access to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s products or services.

PDF Technologies, Inc. reserves the right not to refund the relevant fees of PDF Reader Pro eSign services if the User's account is suspended due to abusive conduct. If User files a refund dispute to a third-party payment platform on the ground of PDF Technologies, Inc.'s termination or suspension of his/her account and/or access to PDF Technologies, Inc.'s products or services, and if PDF Technologies, Inc. is able to prove with reasonable evidence that User's rights are suspended due to his/her abusive conduct, User shall be liable for not only the relevant fees of PDF Technologies, Inc.'s products or services, but also the expenses and costs arising from PDF Technologies, Inc.'s handling of the dispute.

"Abusive conduct" shall include, without limitation:

(1) By means of the "Bulk Send" function in the PDF Reader Pro eSign service, sending a large volume of signing requests to potential users without their consent (regardless of whether they have actually agreed to the use of email or not) to the extent that PDF Technologies, Inc. receives more than 10 user complaints within 7 consecutive, thereby affecting PDF Technologies, Inc.'s ordinary operations and diminishing PDF Technologies, Inc.'s reputation.

(2) Any act that is illegal or contrary to public order and good morals, including but not limited to sending altered or forged documents, content, or information; falsely claiming, impersonating, or implying an unauthorized identity to mislead others into signing.

(3) Repeatedly applying for a new account after a previous account is suspended by PDF Technologies, Inc. with reasonable cause or in accordance with this Agreement.

(4) Any conduct that is beyond the scope of reasonable use of DottedSign Services, including to exploit product or service vulnerabilities, or violate the product or service usage rules.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND API INTEGRATION

To provide users with more comprehensive and efficient product features, this Software integrates and utilizes certain third-party service APIs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including DottedSign API, OpenAI API, Deepseek API, and Baidu Translation API. These third-party services are independently operated by their respective providers, and their functionality, service quality, and availability are governed by the applicable terms of service, privacy policies, and relevant laws and regulations of such third parties.

Users acknowledge and agree that, when using certain features of this Software, data or content may be processed through the aforementioned third-party APIs. This Software will only invoke such third-party services to the extent necessary to provide the relevant functionality and will take reasonable measures to protect user data security. The Software shall not be liable for any direct or indirect losses arising from third-party service issues, including but not limited to service interruptions, API changes, functional limitations, or inaccuracies in processing results; however, the Software will make reasonable efforts to assist users in communicating with the relevant third-party service providers to resolve such issues.

BUSINESS USERS' AUTHORISATION

Business Users include OEM partners, companies that purchase PDF Reader Pro in bulk, resellers, and SDK technology license partners.

Business users of PDF Reader Pro hereby expressly grant PDF Technologies, Inc. and its affiliates the right to use such users' commercial names and logos in various PDF Reader Pro promotional and advertising materials that may be published by PDF Technologies, Inc. and/or its affiliates from time to time.

A representative of a business user can contact us at support@pdfreaderpro.com to request PDF Technologies, Inc. limit or cease the use of the business user's commercial name and/or logo. Please use "No Use of Customer Name" as the subject line of such an email. We will reply to the Business users' request within three (3) business days.

CHANGES

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 (change this) days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
